FWG PLUS is a South African and African football news publication at https://footballwithghxstavo.co.za. FWG PLUS is our public-facing publication name. Information you send us
When you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and any information or attachments you provide. The site is configured to accept comments on posts by default. Commenters must provide a name and email address; WordPress may also process their IP address and browser information for comment administration and spam prevention. Please avoid posting confidential or sensitive information in public comments.
WordPress.com, Jetpack and site analytics
Our site uses WordPress.com and the Jetpack plugin, which provide hosting, site functionality and may provide audience statistics, security and performance services. These services may process technical and usage information such as IP addresses, browser details, page requests and referral information. We have not confirmed whether Jetpack Stats is enabled or whether any additional analytics code is installed. No dedicated Google Analytics plugin was found in the installed plugin list. We will update this notice if further analytics tools are confirmed or added.
Email newsletter subscriptions
Our website offers an email newsletter subscription through Jetpack subscriptions, a service provided by Automattic. If you subscribe, your email address and subscription preferences are processed to manage your subscription and deliver updates about FWG PLUS content. The service may send an email asking you to confirm your subscription and may process technical information associated with subscription and email delivery. You can unsubscribe using the link provided in subscription emails. You may also contact footballwithghxstavo@gmail.com for help with a subscription or privacy request. Automattic may process this information outside South Africa in accordance with its applicable privacy practices.
Spam protection and avatars
The Akismet Anti-spam plugin is active and may process comment information, IP addresses and other signals to identify spam, according to its configuration. Gravatar Enhanced is active and may display profile images associated with commenters; Gravatar and related services may process information when avatars are requested. Live scores and third-party content
Our Live Scores & Fixtures page uses the active Rotascore Live Scores Widget to display fixtures, results and standings. Loading this third-party content may involve requests to Rotascore or its service providers and the processing of technical data. External links and embedded content are subject to their providers’ privacy practices.
Cookies and similar technologies
WordPress.com, Jetpack and connected services may use cookies or similar technologies for security, essential site functions, audience measurement and embedded features. The WordPress comment-cookie opt-in option is enabled. Whether additional non-essential analytics or tracking cookies are active still needs verification. We will provide any legally required notices and consent choices before enabling new non-essential tracking or personalised advertising.
Advertising
FWG PLUS is preparing to apply for Google AdSense; we have not confirmed any active AdSense integration. If advertising is introduced, this policy will be updated to explain advertising partners, their use of cookies or identifiers, personalised advertising choices and applicable consent controls before ads are enabled.
Why we process information
We use relevant information to deliver and protect the website, display and moderate comments, respond to correspondence, analyse website performance where enabled, prevent spam and comply with legal obligations. We process personal information on an applicable lawful basis, including consent where required.
Sharing and processing outside South Africa
WordPress.com, Automattic services and the providers of embedded features may process information on our behalf or in connection with their services. Processing may take place outside South Africa. We will assess applicable cross-border requirements and safeguards under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We do not sell reader contact details to advertisers.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose or as required by law. Comment records, correspondence, logs and backups may be subject to different retention settings. Exact provider retention periods have not yet been independently confirmed. We use our hosting platform and available security features to help protect information, although no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights under POPIA
Subject to applicable law, you may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you, access to it, correction, deletion where appropriate, or object to certain processing. Email footballwithghxstavo@gmail.com with enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity. You may also contact South Africa’s Information Regulator about privacy concerns.
Children’s information
FWG PLUS publishes general football news and does not intentionally solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information that should be removed, email footballwithghxstavo@gmail.com.
